4. Consuming bacon.

Things aren’t looking good for my favourite breakfast meat. First was the no fat rule in no. 13 and now pork gets the ax by way of the word of God.

According to Leviticus 11:4 the consumption of bacon is expressly forbidden along with a host of other meats.

Leviticus 11:4 states, “Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof”.

We know there is a reason here and a Biblical scholar could probably explain it to us but…why? Seriously, why are non split hoofed animals that chew cud alright, but split hoofed animals that chew cud a sin?
